“Battle Of The Bands”

2007 Update

This was a hard fought competition, and voting was very close in all heats and the final was no exception.

It was unfortunate that there could be only one winner, and the judges panel who consisted of Jamie Stone m.s.p. Martin Stewart (Jyrojets) Richy Ross (RPL) & Saz (RiR) really had their work cut out, but in the end Defcon 1 from Invergordon Academy pipped the others at the post to win this years title of “Ross-shire Junior battle of the bands champions” and lift the “Clean-machine” shield along with a band trophy and a prize voucher worth just under £400.

In second place was “Malcolm’s band” from Tain Royal Academy.

Third was “Fyonn” from Alness Academy.

And in fourth were “Autumn Addiction” from Dingwall academy.

The second place runners up received a trophy & voucher (worth over £130)

The third place runners up received a trophy & a goodie bag (Donated by The Music Shop, Inverness)

The fourth place runners up received a goodie bag (Donated by The Music Shop, Inverness)

We would like to thank

clean machine for their generosity in supplying the shield & trophies for this competition, as well as £100 towards the final prize total.

The Music Shop, 27 Church St. Inverness who kindly donated goodie bags to be awarded to third & fourth place runners up.

All the school staff & pupils who helped out in setting up this event.
